On the island of Djerba, in the Tunisian South, an old black woman is locked up in a house. Few people are allowed to see her. Some people talk about madness… some talk about a serious disease… some others talk about an excess of fury. This woman is called Elloulou .she is also called "ezzaïma" (the leader). She is a pioneer of negro music on the island. An attractive character who faced all the forbidden rules of a slave society. It is the story of Elloulou through her children and grand children who continue to perpetrate this thousand-year-old art but by giving it the aspect of a flourishing business
